Season Greetings & Holiday Break in September

The Hari Raya is round the corner which might fall on 10th and 11th this month ( it depends on the sight of the moon ) anyway, I would like to send my season greeting to all the Muslim friends & students- Selamat Hari Raya!!!

I will take a holiday from 22nd to 30th this month. The reschedule & replacement for the classes will be posted later. On 24th, i will attend a day meditation course conducted by Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh @ Tunku Abdul Rahman College in Kuala Lumpur. It is his first time to come to Malaysia and i DON'T want to miss this opportunity to meet this world renowned Zen Master. Wendy''s classes on 14th & 16th will be canceled as she will also be away from 11th to 18th . Her class resumes on 21st, Tuesday. Please take note.

It is a second term school holiday , many of the students also take a holiday break with the family This is a DO , travel is a time to unwind , recharge , indulge and explore. I wish all of you have a great time!!& myself too. so , the classes expect "the low season "for this month. followed by Hari Raya , the Chinese mooncake festival is coming on 22nd. I wish all Happy Mooncake festival ahead!

Take the following notes when you join:

1)Do bring along a towel to cover the body as the seesion will be taken place in an airconditioned room

2)Do rinse and wash the face & feet beforehand to refresh yourself ( you can do it at the studio )

3)Do switch off the handphones

4) Do Observe " Silence" during the session

5) Do leave the room quietly or open your eye if you experience any emotional discomfort

Healing Power of Singing Bowl

Healing is the state of inheriting balance and harmony with our highest purpose. When an organ or bodypart is healthy , it produces a natural resonant frequency in harmony with the rest of the body when the vibration of a part of the body is out of harmony, we have "dis-ease". When sound is projected into the " dis-ease" area, correct harmonic patterns are restored. The practice of singing bowl which produces soothing resonant sound as a tool to promote healing .It is also a type of energy medicine that create the deep feel of peace and wellbeing" space" in which people can get healed from stress disorder , depression , the emotional rollercoaster and more.

Etiquette :

The followings are a code etiqutte that students follow out of respect others and for their personal comfort;

1) inform the teacher about the your injuries or special health conditions.

2) Keep an eyes on your own practice and do not compare yourself to others. honor yourself and your body. work at your own level. Wear clothhing that allows your to move freely and comfortably. Breahe freely and normally through the nose.

3) Come with an empty stomach, Allow 2 - 3 hours digestion after a large meal

4) Women during menstruation , avoid poses that cause deep pressure both in abdomen and the pelvis region and also should not attempt inversion poses like headstand, shoulder stand or deep backward bending pose like the wheel pose

5) Make it part of your yoga practice to arrive early. to get yourself settle in and get center

6) Please turn off cellphone during the class. Set the phone in a slient mode if it is urgent and do not answer phone in the class.

7) Pick up and neatly put away any props you use.

8) If you must leave class early, do it before Savasan ( relaxation pose ). to allow a few minute to unwind the body and mind

9) Read class discription and take the class that is appropriate for your level of experience.

DO &Don‘t for Aerial yoga

We would like to state that we, OMPlace Studio and the instructors who are in charge of Aerial yoga Classes, are not responsible for any injuries, accidents or any physical complaints caused during or/ after the class.

We shall also not liable for any cost, compensation and legal charge for the above mention scenarios.

You must be sure that yoy strictly follow the rule of the practice and be honest to the instructor if you hsve any of thr followings;

- Spine related problems like slip disv, degeneration and serious back pain

- Have the history of shoulders dislocation ,wrist injuries or on the stage of recovery from injury or /surgery

- Prone to Vertigo

- Pregnant /body weight exceeds 80kg

- you are not advised to join the class immediately after the high impact or /high aerobic exercises like running, jogging , Zumba ,Weight lifting and so on

Shree Krishna Shahi

Shree Krishna Shahi is the first person in the Kathmandu valley of Nepal to work with singing bowls. He learned about singing bowls from his adopted Tibetan grandfather, a Lama who came to Nepal for several years during early 80s. He recognized Shree's talent and adopted him as his grandson,teaching him all he knew about the traditional secrets of singing bowl therapy and sound healing. Shree has been teaching this healing technique from the Highlands for more than 20 years. He teaches worldwide ,in USA , Germany and Spain and other countries in Asia.
