Alex , Taiwanese , a serious ,devoted Iyengar Yoga Practitioner. Educated in USA , two degree holder of child developement & edcuation. i admire her ability in the command of multi languages - Spainese ,Mandrain , English and Taiwan dialect. i met her at the Ashram in Nasik , India, year 2006. We made a promise to meet each other again one day.
There she came!two weeks after the opening of my studio. She made it happen first. Her Visit indeed gave me a big moral support and blessing!!!
You might come across lot of stories ,, from yoga megazine or books about how YOGA transform a person's life. That sounds amazing and magical!yes, this was another good example;
she totally became a different person; in her personality and her spirit, i could feel, her strong self esteem , confidence and compassion. i could say that her constantly travels and studies with her two respectful Guruji - Rajiv and Devi Usha, ( very senior Iyengar Yoga Instructor ) over the past 2 and half years at the most spiritual land of Yoga - Rishikesh was paid off.
She brought her precious friendship and experiences of Yoga pracitce here and share them with Students of OMPlace unconditionally;most students who attended her session , liked her very much!
it was her first visit here ; she enjoyed the natural beauty of Brunei - Kampong Air was her favourite , The Empire Hotel & the Country and Jame Asre Mosque.
I thanked to RTB chinese section DJ - Peng Peng , my student and friend, for the opportunity to arranged a pre-boardcasting interview Alex and me and we talked about Yoga at RTB recording room. that was a good experience for both of us!
i just cut and pasted a few paragraph from her letter she posted on her blog;
Having this opportunity to share yoga with you all is really a prvilege tome. My time in Brunei was fulfilled each minute. as a yoga practitioner, there are much more i would like to share with you. to Me , the meaning of yoga is SELFLESS ACTION in daily basis but very little in asana and all those so called advanced poses. if there are any qualifications to be a yogi , it will be ; Humble and open minded ; to me.More time i spent in yoga , less confident i feel. i still remember the shocking feeling at my initial contact with Iyengar yoga. i even felt ashamed to say i myself a yoga teacher. i realized by considering myself as an advanced yoga practitioner only because of some postures , i only present how foolish i have been .
From my master Rajiv , i learnt ; always do with a beginner's attitude, so one should discover more.
