Yoga workshop with Belinda wong on 19th (Saturday ) & 20th ( Sunday ) November 2011





OMPlace Studio presents:


Session ( 1 ): External cue - yogasanas in associate with the breathing technique

Date : 19th ( Saturday ) - 1:30pm to 4:30pm
Fundamental building block of how essential yogasanas are shaped and developed. The core of yoga is essentially grounded with the breath and body awareness. You get better understanding how the importance of the fundamental to make the practice safely and you will gain more confident in progressing,even in the development of an advanced pose is absolutely helpful!!!


Session ( 2) :Internal Cue - The Art of Unifying & integrating of mind & body

Date: 19th ( Saturday ) - 5:30pm - 8:30pm

Knowing the essence of the fundamental and you know how to identify the external cue that you progressively develop into a solid pratice in a sense that you know how yogasanas & breathing techniques fit in to give a total mind & body workout.


Session ( 3 ) : The Stability in the integration of core, shoulders & Pelvis in backward bending

Date :20th ( Sunday ) - 9:00am to 12:00pm

The invigorating, heart opening of yoga backward bending is always challenging and interesting to practice for both new and seasoned practitioners.


Session ( 4 ) : Heart & Spirit soar in the world of inversions

Date : 20th ( Sunday ) - 2:00pm to 5:00pm

The session emphasizes the importance of the external and internal cue, the breath in the progress of advanced yogasanas like headstand variationsa, handstand and arm balancing.


Fees

$70 per session

$280 for all 4 sessions workshop ( Early Bird )

Payment should be paid before 6th November 2011

Bio about the teacher


Belinda Wong has been actively practicing & teaching yoga for more than 9 years , empowering practitioners everywhere to transform their lives. Trained under Vincent Tam of Jiva Yoga

and she has also studied with many great teachers like Edward Clark, Noah Maza, Desiree Rumbaugh , Peter Scott , Andrey Lappa and Lousia Sears, to name a few. Her's devotion to a strong and consistent self -practice across many yoga discipline namely Iyengar, Astanga ,Tripsichore and Anusara, and that makes her a sought-after teacher throughout Malaysia. she is proudly recognized as her down-to-earth teaching approach, clear instruction and vibrant energy. her ability to assist and inspire practitioners of all levels in acheiving personal breakthrough in their yoga practice.

The second in-house workshop will be held on 30th October 2011 ( Sunday ) focus on the therapeutic value of yoga - using yogic approach wisely and effectively in the management of common ailments like the spine-related issues - the lower back stiffness & pains , the tension in the upper back , shoulders and the necks.

Sounding Off

To unload anxiety , frustration , or emotional pain, focus your mind on the pit of your stomach, slowly gather these negative emotions , and move them up through your stomach , chest and throat. Then release your feelings in a deep groan - as if you are releasing a heavy stone of emotion into a deep well in front of you. Notice how much lighter you feel.

Double the bolster to elevate the hips to assist in unloading deeper and give a full opening in the chest.

Soundless Joy

Of All sensations to savor, silence can be the most satisfying. There's no better way to beat stress than a totally silent meditation. Even finer , for many , is the silence over which lovely, gently sounds drifts - clinking cowbells , or birdsong, or a distant stream. find a place of silence and one by one tune in to the sounds of earth and sky.
